Construits en 1872 et 1881 par le potier Magloire Vie, les deux fours sont les derniers témoins en Beauvaisis de ce type d'installation, et sont représentatifs de fours édifiés dans la région pendant la seconde moitié du 19e siècle. History
Built in 1872 and 1881 by potter Magloire Vie, the two kilns are the last witnesses in the Beauvaisis region of this type of installation, and are representative of kilns built in the region during the second half of the 19th century. Longitudinal and with oblique firing axis, they are designed on the model of medieval kilns and differ from them only in their greater size (17 metres), and by the presence of small openings in the vault of the firebox, allowing salting of stoneware at the end of firing (German process of Jules Ziegler).
