Historique

History
The Baron de Rothschild has a neo-17th-century castle built by Félix Langlais on a plot of 50 hectares, purchased in 1878. In 1880, Langlais builds the entrance gate, called the Turrets. Apart from the castle and the Turrets, the Rothschilds have the Norman farmhouse built (1892), the stables, the caretaker's house of Chauffour. The landscape architect of the estate, Charles Masson, took up the elements of the 18th-century landscape architect and created a park where all the perspectives converge towards the castle. In 1946, the Rothschilds sell the estate to the missionary seminary association of Gouvieux-Chantilly, intended for the training of Jesuits. These latter fitted out the estate and built several buildings: library in 1952 by Henri-Marie Delaage, chapel in 1950 decorated by Albert Gleizes, a hotel, ...
