La villa vient remplacer des bâtiments plus ancien. Elle est édifiée en 1936 sur les plans de l'architecte Adolphe Danis pour l'industriel filateur Alphonse Falleur dont la manufacture située rue François Ansiau était spécialisée dans le fil pour bonneterie. Installé à Hautmont, dans le bassin sidérurgique de la Sambre, cet architecte a largement œuvré dans ce territoire, pour une clientèle d'industriels qui lui commande des villas ou des habitations ouvrières. La villa est remarquable par son style Art déco aux inflexions classiques teintées de régionalisme. L'architecte réalise une construction qui peut être qualifiée de château moderne, par son décor et son confort. Il fait preuve d'une très grande maitrise de la composition pour animer les façades d'un bâtiment qui est en réalité assez massif et de très grande taille. Il est assez rare de voir un ensemble aussi complet ayant conservé la quasi-totalité de ses aménagements intérieurs d'origine, lesquels sont de très belle qualité.

The villa comes to replace older buildings. It was built in 1936 on the plans of architect Adolphe Danis for the textile industrialist Alphonse Falleur whose factory located on rue François Ansiau specialized in thread for hosiery. Installed in Hautmont, in the Sambre steelmaking basin, this architect worked extensively in this territory, for a clientele of industrialists who commissioned him to design villas or workers' dwellings.
