History
Specializing in the bleaching and creaming of thread and cloth, this factory belonged to the Mahieu textile group. It was built on the banks of the Lys in 1892. During the First World War, it was partially destroyed. Activities ceased in August 1955. In 1962, it was sold to a company which uses it as an industrial warehouse. This site is structured, around a vast building devoted to the drying and creaming of thread and cloth, a series of small buildings with very homogeneous treatment. It is the last example of proto-industry of linen in the region.
