De type pavillonnaire, l'hospice Barbieux a été construit en 1894 par l'architecte Barbotin. De plan rectangulaire, le bâtiment renferme en son centre un jardin dû au paysagiste Georges Aumont, à qui l'on doit notamment le parc de Barbieux. Les constructions intérieures sont distribuées en pavillons réunis par de longs couloirs couverts. L'entrée monumentale de l'hôpital se réfère quant à elle à celle du château de Chantilly, reprenant les mêmes dispositions de coupoles successives.

History
Of pavilion type, the Barbieux hospice was built in 1894 by architect Barbotin. Of rectangular plan, the building contains in its centre a garden created by landscape gardener Georges Aumont, to whom we owe in particular the park of Barbieux. The interior constructions are arranged in pavilions connected by long covered corridors. The monumental entrance of the hospital refers for its part to that of the château of Chantilly, taking up the same arrangements of successive domes.
