Historique
Créé dans la première moitié du 18e siècle, le cimetière fut agrandi à plusieurs reprises au 19e siècle puis vers 1903- 1904. Les tombes présentent toutes une épitaphe en hébreu. Monolithes jusque dans les années 1850-1860, les sépultures sont ensuite composées de deux ou trois morceaux. Les stèles du 18e siècle sont des sortes de pierres levées en plein cintre dépourvues de décor. Au 19e siècle, elles deviendront plus hautes avec différentes formes de frontons. Le décor est inspiré des styles à la mode, le style néo-classique étant le plus fréquent après 1860. L'iconographie étant très limitée, la majorité des motifs est d'inspiration végétale.

History
Created in the first half of the 18th century, the cemetery was enlarged several times in the 19th century and then around 1903-1904. All the tombs present an epitaph in Hebrew. Monoliths until the years 1850-1860, the burials are thereafter composed of two or three pieces. The stelae of the 18th century are a type of upright stones with round arch devoid of decoration. In the 19th century, they became taller with different forms of pediments. The decoration is inspired by fashionable styles, the neo-classical style being the most frequent after 1860. As the iconography is very limited, the majority of motifs is of vegetal inspiration.
