Historique
La construction du couvent des Récollets débuta en 1766 pour s'achever en 1769. En 1792, les moines sont expulsés et le couvent est transformé en logements. Il est racheté par la commune, en 1804-1805, et l'édifice est utilisé comme presbytère jusqu'en 1997. De plan rectangulaire, la construction se présente comme un volume simple couvert d'une toiture en pavillons. Réalisée entièrement en pierre de taille, la façade principale se distingue par un traitement particulièrement soigné. Côtés nord et sud, on remarque deux escaliers en maçonnerie dont un en pierre de taille dont la composition, simple et régulière, correspond à l'idéal d'austérité de l'architecture monastique de l'Ancien Régime. History
Construction of the Recollets convent began in 1766 and was completed in 1769. In 1792, the monks were expelled and the convent was converted into dwellings. It was repurchased by the commune in 1804-1805, and the building was used as a presbytery until 1997. Of rectangular plan, the construction presents as a simple volume covered with a pavilion roof. Built entirely in ashlar, the main façade is distinguished by particularly careful treatment. On the north and south sides, there are two masonry stairs, one of which is in ashlar, the composition of which, simple and regular, corresponds to the ideal of austerity of the monastic architecture of the Ancien Régime. Despite significant alterations, traces of the original distribution of interiors are still legible. On the upper floor, probing revealed the exceptional presence of timber framing.
