Le château est construit sur le site d'un manoir éponyme. En 1852, un nouvel édifice est bâti selon les plans de Hallouis qui réalise probablement le projet d'un architecte non connu à ce jour. Des modifications ont été apportées au dessin d'origine : absence du belvédère avec horloge prévu au centre du toit. Le château est construit en tuffeau avec soubassement de granit. L'élévation principale est ordonnancée, à faux avant-corps central et latéraux. Le décor sculpté est très riche. Les pilastres cannelés de l'élévation sud sont ornés de chapiteaux composites. A l'intérieur, plusieurs salons possèdent un riche décor de stuc peint de style Louis XV. Les chambres conservent leurs tentures ou papiers peints d'origine. Dans le parc romantique, vasque portant Vénus, pont métallique, kiosque à musique, fabriques et statues. L'ancienne ferme est éloignée du logis, au nord. La maison d'habitation et le bâtiment contenant écurie et pressoir ont été conservés. Réalisé dans un style éclectique encore emprunt de références néo-classiques, le château est un édifice atypique dans la production régionale.

History
The castle is built on the site of an eponymous manor. In 1852, a new building was constructed according to the plans of Hallouis who probably realised the design of an architect not yet known to this day. Modifications were made to the original design: absence of the belvedere with clock planned at the centre of the roof. The castle is built in tuffeau with granite ashlar base. The main elevation is ordered, with a false central and lateral pavilion. The sculptured decoration is very rich. The fluted pilasters of the south elevation are ornamented with composite capitals. Inside, several drawing rooms possess rich stucco decoration painted in Louis XV style. The bedrooms retain their original hangings or wallpaper. In the romantic park, basin bearing Venus, metal bridge, music pavilion, ornamental buildings and statues. The former farm is distant from the main dwelling, to the north. The dwelling house and the building containing the stable and press house have been preserved. Realised in an eclectic style still imbued with neo-classical references, the castle is an atypical building in regional production.
