History
This crenellated guard house, model 1846 no. 3, was built in 1858 to complement a Vauban battery, and abandoned as early as 1870. It was altered by its conversion to a dwelling (piercing of windows, addition of a roof). Transformed into a pleasure park, the site retains no trace of the old dispositions.
