Historique
Le château est une maison forte en briques remontant au 16e s. Différents propriétaires se succèdent à la tête du domaine : la famille de Monluc, les familles du Puy au 17e s. Puis par mariage les Bridiez de Villemor. Lors du siège de Monheurt en 1621, Louis XIII et le connétable de Luynes y séjournèrent. Ce dernier y mourut le 15 décembre.
Description
Le domaine se compose d'un corps de logis rectangulaire flanqué aux angles de tours carrées et rondes. Des restes de fossés défensifs, d'un pont levis et de postes de tirs sont encore présents. Des communs rectangulaires ferment la cour intérieure. D'importantes modifications ont été réalisées au 18e siècle : élargissement des ouvertures, adjonction des communes, construction d'un pigeonnier carré. Au 19e s., une glacière est élevée au sud du domaine.

History
The castle is a strong house in brick dating from the 16th century. Various owners succeed one another at the head of the domain: the Monluc family, the families du Puy in the 17th century. Then by marriage the Bridiez de Villemor. During the siege of Monheurt in 1621, Louis XIII and the constable de Luynes stayed there. The latter died there on 15 December.
Description
The domain consists of a rectangular main dwelling flanked at the angles by square and round towers. Remains of defensive moats, a drawbridge and firing positions are still present. Rectangular outbuildings close the interior courtyard. Important modifications were carried out in the 18th century: enlargement of openings, addition of outbuildings, construction of a square dovecot. In the 19th century, an ice-house is erected to the south of the domain.
