Le monument, élevé en 1925, sintitule « La France victorieuse arrêtant le combat ». Cette France est représentée par une statue en bronze dune guerrière gauloise armée de son bouclier et appuyée sur sa lance. Réalisée par le sculpteur Daniel Bacqué, la statue a été fondue dans les ateliers Grandhomme et Andro, de Paris. A lorigine, lédifice était entouré de canons qui ont été enlevés par la suite.

The monument, erected in 1925, is titled 'Victorious France Stopping the Combat'. This France is represented by a bronze statue of a Gallic warrior armed with her shield and leaning on her spear. Executed by sculptor Daniel Bacqué, the statue was cast in the workshops Grandhomme and Andro, Paris. Originally, the building was surrounded by cannons which were subsequently removed.
