Château cité en 1259. En partie remanié au 17e siècle et restauré à la fin du 19e. Etabli sur des fondations très anciennes, le château est un assemblage de bâtiments dont la majeure partie paraît dater du 17e siècle. Une double enceinte protégeait le château qui surveillait la vallée de la Gélisse et le vieux pont qui la traverse. La partie du château qui domine le village présente des terrasses à balustres Louis XIV en partie refaits au 19e. La partie nord présente une grosse tour carrée du 15e siècle, et un corps de logis à fenêtres à meneaux aux encadrements moulurés du 16e siècle. La partie s'ouvrant sur la cour intérieure est un bel exemple de construction du 17e siècle, avec terrasse et balustres d'époque. Porche d'entrée du 17e avec piliers surmontés de flammes du 18e siècle dans le parc.

History
Castle mentioned in 1259. Partly remodelled in the 17th century and restored at the end of the 19th. Established on very ancient foundations, the castle is an assemblage of buildings of which the greater part appears to date from the 17th century. A double enceinte protected the castle which overlooked the valley of the Gélisse and the old bridge which crosses it. The part of the castle which overlooks the village has terraces with Louis XIV balustrades partly remade in the 19th. The northern part has a large square tower of the 15th century, and a main dwelling with mullioned windows with moulded frames of the 16th century. The part opening onto the inner courtyard is a fine example of 17th-century construction, with terrace and balustrades of the period. Entrance porch of the 17th century with pillars topped with flame motifs of the 18th century in the park.
