Historique
Ancienne abbaye bâtie au Moyen Age. Au 16e siècle, elle devient un des principaux foyers du protestantisme en Agenais. Détruite par l'armée royale en 1574. Monastère donné au Chapitre de Saint-Jean de Latran en 1604. Abbaye restaurée dans les années 1620-1630, vendue comme bien national à la Révolution. Depuis 1981, après avoir abrité un lycée, elle est le siège d'une animation permanente où des automates illustrent la vie des religieux au Moyen Age.

History
Former abbey built in the Middle Ages. In the 16th century, it became one of the principal centres of Protestantism in Agenais. Destroyed by the royal army in 1574. Monastery given to the Chapter of Saint-Jean de Latran in 1604. Abbey restored in the years 1620-1630, sold as national property during the Revolution. Since 1981, after having housed a lycée, it has been the seat of a permanent activity where automata illustrate the life of the religious in the Middle Ages.
