Historique
Château construit au 15e siècle par un vassal du duc de Bretagne pour contrôler la Loire en aval de Nantes. Transformé en demeure de plaisance vers 1500 puis à nouveau vers 1550. Pris et sans doute détruit en 1589 par le duc de Mercoeur. Le site est installé sur une plateforme bipartite, la partie nord correspondant au logis castral et celle du sud à la basse cour.

History
Castle built in the 15th century by a vassal of the duke of Brittany to control the Loire downstream of Nantes. Transformed into a pleasure residence around 1500 and again around 1550. Taken and no doubt destroyed in 1589 by the duke of Mercoeur. The site is installed on a bipartite platform, the northern part corresponding to the castral main dwelling and that of the south to the lower courtyard.
