Modeste église rurale dépendant de l'abbaye de Lavoûte-Chilhac, l'église de Cerzat est surtout intéressante pour son chevet roman. La nef et la chapelle nord ont été ajoutées à l'époque gothique. History
Modest rural church dependent on the abbey of Lavoûte-Chilhac, the church of Cerzat is mainly of interest for its Romanesque chevet. The nave and the north chapel were added in the Gothic period. The church was enlarged in the 19th century by the addition to the nave of a second bay. The bell-wall located above the chevet was replaced by a bell tower built probably at the end of the 19th century along the south façade. Recent works have made possible the refection of the interior render and paintings and the enhancement of the ashlar of polychrome stones.
