Au début du 18e siècle, les parcelles de l'hôtel étaient occupées par des artisans et, pour l'une d'entre elles, par les Dugas dont la fortune a été faite dans la rubanerie. Après être devenus un temps propriété des hospices de la ville, ces biens sont vendus et Claude Dugas en fait l'acquisition pour y bâtir sa demeure. A l'arrière de l'hôtel, une seconde entrée cochère donne sur une cour distribuant le hangar à calèches, les écuries, les caves, le lavoir et une entrée secondaire du logis. History
At the beginning of the 18th century, the plots of the hotel were occupied by craftsmen and, for one of them, by the Dugas family whose fortune was made in ribbon making. After becoming for a time the property of the city's hospices, these properties were sold and Claude Dugas acquired them to build his residence there. The main entrance is through a large wooden gateway bearing the arms of Claude Dugas, and opens onto a vast courtyard surrounded, to the east, by the gatekeeper's lodge building, the main façade of the hotel and, to the west, by the garden entrance gate. In the garden stands the orangery. At the rear of the hotel, a second carriage entrance opens onto a courtyard serving the carriage shed, the stables, the cellars, the laundry and a secondary entrance to the main dwelling. Inside, the residence retains its original layout and many decorative features.
