Fondé à la fin du 9e siècle, le prieuré fortifié de Régny dépendait de l'abbaye de Charlieu. Il a été vendu comme bien national à la Révolution. L'église a commencé à être démolie dès la fin du 18e siècle ; elle a servi de locaux pour l'industrie du tissage tout au long du 19e siècle, puis de logements. History
Founded at the end of the 9th century, the fortified priory of Régny depended on the abbey of Charlieu. It was sold as a national asset at the Revolution. The church began to be demolished from the end of the 18th century; it served as premises for the weaving industry throughout the 19th century, then as dwellings. A certain number of remains of the Romanesque church was discovered during rehabilitation works. Church decorated with paintings of the 14th century.
