Historique
Larradé était un fief relevant de deux maisons nobles à Heugas, classé par l’abbé Foix dans les maisons titrées de son Dictionnaire. Au sommet d’une crête, à la frontière entre Bénesse et Heugas, la maison aurait été construite à la fin du XVIe siècle par Jehan de Larrey, procureur au siège présidial de Dax. Qu’il y ait eu ou non une maison et des bâtiments d’exploitation, nul doute que la position stratégique au sommet d’une crête, bordant la route menant de Bénesse à Heugas et à proximité de deux moulins à eaux est à l’origine du choix du site. Jehan de Larrey aurait reçu Larradé de la part du seigneur de Heugas avant 1600, date à laquelle la seigneurie est partagée entre deux maisons nobles. Larradé était donc un arrière-fief dépendant du seigneur de Heugas. Le métayer doit alors le cens au seigneur de Heugas et ce qui est établi dans son contrat au sieur de Larradé. La famille Larrey restera propriétaire des lieux jusqu’en 1792. Le domaine sera modifié au cours du 19e siècle, suite au changement de propriétaire et l'agrandissement de ses activités.
Description
La château se dresse au sommet d'une colline dominant le paysage, au sud du village de Bénesse-les-Dax. Il est constitué d’une maison de maître et de plusieurs bâtiments de communs, accompagné d’un ensemble de prairies, champs, bois constituant un ensemble rural important. on y trouvait l'ancienne maison du métayer, le chai, le four à pain, l'orangerie, la fontaine et le garde-manger, le lavoir et le jardin d'agrément.

History
Larradé was a fief held of two noble houses at Heugas, classified by abbé Foix among the titled houses in his Dictionary. At the top of a ridge, on the border between Bénesse and Heugas, the house would have been built at the end of the 16th century by Jehan de Larrey, proctor at the presidial seat of Dax.
