Historique
Un premier palais épiscopal est construit au 12e s. Détruit par les Huguenots en 1569, il est reconstruit à partir de 1627 par l'évêque Gilles Boutault et son successeur. Les plans relevés au 18e siècle montrent un grand domaine avec de nombreuses dépendances et des jardins s'étendant jusqu'à l'Adour.

History
A first episcopal palace was built in the 12th century. Destroyed by the Huguenots in 1569, it was rebuilt from 1627 by the bishop Gilles Boutault and his successor. Plans recorded in the 18th century show a large estate with numerous outbuildings and gardens extending to the Adour.

A stone repository is installed at the foot of the main staircase.
