En 1636, la peste fit d'énormes ravages et les pestiférés furent relégués dans des loges en planches, au fond du vallon de Vertancul où se trouve l'oratoire. L'édicule, précédé de deux marches, présente une niche à baie en anse de panier bordée par une moulure en accolade à bases prismatiques. Il a été couvert par une grande dalle calcaire plate. Il est l'ultime témoignage de l'ancien cimetière des pestiférés.

History
In 1636, the plague caused enormous ravages and the plague-stricken were confined to wooden lodges, at the bottom of the Vertancul valley where the oratory is found. The small structure, preceded by two steps, presents a niche with an opening in basket-handle arch bordered by a moulding in accolade with prismatic bases. It has been covered by a large flat limestone slab. It is the ultimate testimony of the old plague cemetery.
