Conliège received permission to build a chapel in 1393. The multiplication of endowments led to the establishment of a confraternity of priests. The bell tower is said to have been rebuilt in the first quarter of the 16th century. While retaining, to the west, this side bell tower and a 15th-century chapel, the church was rebuilt from 1624 to 1633. The building consists of five bays with aisles and an apse with faceted sides. The vaults are rib vaults, with transverse arches and wall ribs received, in the central nave of the nef, by Ionic pilasters which surmount the Doric pilasters of the great arcades. The oculi which directly light the upper part of the central nave would suggest an ultramontane influence. A tall wrought-iron grille of 1745 delimits the pre-choir reserved for the confraternity members.
