Historique

History
The construction of the current building dates from the 17th century, if not the second half of the 16th century, when the central main dwelling was built. Two series of pavilions were added subsequently, some projecting onto the courtyard of honour, others onto the rear terrace. The long avenue of the château borders a hillside before opening onto a vast courtyard of honour, also bordered to the north by the hillside whose wall has been entirely remodelled by a stone facing pierced with eight arched openings alternately wide and narrow. These openings give access to deep barrel-vaulted cellars excavated in the tuffeau mass. An orangery was built at the foot of the hillside. The service courtyard is arranged perpendicular to the axis of the courtyard of honour and the château, and extended by a lower courtyard. Various service buildings are arranged set back, hidden by a quincunx planted at the end of the west terrace of the château. A billiards pavilion occupies one corner.
