La première mention d'une résidence seigneuriale en ce lieu remonte à 1337. En 1450, la maison noble est fortifiée. De l'édifice construit au 15e siècle autour d'une cour, subsistent le corps de logis adossé à la courtine nord, les deux tours cylindriques qui la commandaient, percées de nombreuses meurtrières, le fossé et quelques portions de murs d'enceinte. Décrit en mauvais état en 1716, le château est modernisé au cours des siècles suivants. La façade sur cour est reprise et la plupart des baies modifiées. Les autres bâtiments de la cour sont démolis pour ouvrir le château sur la campagne.

History
The first mention of a seigneurial residence at this place dates from 1337. In 1450, the noble house is fortified. Of the building constructed in the 15th century around a courtyard, there remain the main dwelling backing onto the north curtain wall, the two cylindrical towers which commanded it, pierced with numerous loopholes, the moat and some sections of the enclosure walls. Described in poor condition in 1716, the castle was modernized over the following centuries. The courtyard façade is remade and most of the openings modified. The other buildings of the courtyard are demolished to open the castle onto the countryside.
