Léglise fut construite de 1889 à 1895, en grès, granit et calcaire. De plan en croix latine, lédifice est composé de trois vaisseaux. La nef est à fil de coupoles sur pendentifs et le carré du transept présente une tour-lanterne. Le parti général de lensemble est néo-roman avec une bichromie des matériaux et des appareillages différents. History
The church was built from 1889 to 1895, in sandstone, granite and limestone. Of Latin cross plan, the building is composed of three naves. The nave has a barrel of domes on pendentives and the crossing of the transept presents a lantern tower. The general design of the whole is Neo-Romanesque with a bichromia of materials and different bonding patterns. The dome covering, the multiple decorative details and the play of polychrome materials reflect a mastered art of Angoumois Romanesque architecture.
