This castle, which dates from the second half of the 15th century, then belonged to Pierre Landais, treasurer and receiver-general of the Duchy of Brittany. Acquired by the de Kernier family in 1832, it was remodelled from 1883 to 1887 by the architects Jules and Henri Mellet in a Neo-Gothic style. The Neo-Gothic is here decorative and not of logical structure. From the medieval period only the Tour Goyon survives, in sandstone rubble, on the main façade. The English-style park was created by landscape architect Denis Bühler in 1876. The classical garden, of half a hectare, adjoining the castle to the north, was designed in 1902 for Jacques de Kernier by landscape architect Edouard André.
