Cet édifice est construit, en 1890, par larchitecte Arthur Regnault, à lemplacement dune église composée dune nef du 16ème siècle et dun collatéral roman, au nord, Regnault réalise un projet atypique issu du gothique flamboyant. La nef constitue un espace singulier composé de deux travées hexagonales, articulées par un espace central carré et couvert de voûtes complexes à liernes et tiercerons. La tour flamboyante est desservie par une tourelle descalier dont les parois hélicoïdales portent à léchelle monumentale les colonnes torses du gothique tardif. Cet édifice est remarquable tant par la qualité et la profusion de son décor extérieur que par la luminosité et la fluidité de ses volumes intérieurs.

History
This building was constructed in 1890 by architect Arthur Regnault, on the site of a church comprising a 16th-century nave and a Romanesque aisle to the north. Regnault realises an atypical project derived from Flamboyant Gothic. The nave constitutes a singular space composed of two hexagonal bays, articulated by a square central space and covered with complex rib vaults with liernes and tiercerons. The Flamboyant tower is served by a stair turret whose helical walls carry at monumental scale the twisted columns of Late Gothic. This building is remarkable both for the quality and profusion of its exterior decoration and for the luminosity and fluidity of its interior volumes.
