L'édifice, construit en bois et terrasse, fut probablement bâti au tournant des 16ème et 17ème siècles. La salle nommée « le Pélican » fut vendue à la fin du 17ème siècle pour le compte du Grand Séminaire puis transformée en chapelle à laquelle fut ajoutée une sacristie surmontée de deux chambres avec un comble et d'un clocher. Avec la transformation en 1793 du grand séminaire en hôpital militaire, la chapelle devient un lieu de stockage puis, en 1899, une conciergerie et un logement pour les religieuses desservant l'hôpital. Lorsque le jeu de paume a été transformé en hôpital militaire, il a été entièrement cloisonnée. Cependant, le système de poutres et de poteaux est encore très présent sur la façade arrière.

History
The building, constructed in wood and terrasse, was probably built at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. The room named 'le Pélican' was sold at the end of the 17th century on behalf of the Grand Séminaire and then transformed into a chapel to which was added a sacristy surmounted by two rooms with a roof space and a bell tower. With the transformation in 1793 of the grand séminaire into a military hospital, the chapel becomes a storage place and then, in 1899, a caretaker's lodge and accommodation for the nuns serving the hospital. When the jeu de paume was transformed into a military hospital, it was entirely partitioned. However, the system of beams and posts is still very much present on the rear façade.
