L'existence d'un manoir est connue depuis le 15e siècle. Au 18e siècle, il fut transformé en château par Guy de la Motte-Piquet, seigneur du lieu et conseiller au Parlement de Bretagne, en s'inspirant des hôtels particuliers reconstruits à Rennes par l'architecte Gabriel. Au cours du 19e siècle ont eu leiu des modifications de la toiture (lucarnes) et l'aménagement des combles.

History
The existence of a manor is known from the 15th century. In the 18th century, it was transformed into a château by Guy de la Motte-Piquet, lord of the place and counsellor to the Parliament of Brittany, drawing inspiration from the hôtels particuliers rebuilt at Rennes by the architect Gabriel. During the 19th century modifications were made to the roof (dormers) and the fitting out of the roof space.
