Historique
L'oeuvre de la Miséricorde est créée au début du 17e siècle, avec pour mission de secourir les pauvres : nourriture, orphelinat, apothicaire, école. Après la Révolution, devenue bureau de bienfaisance, l'oeuvre est poursuivie jusqu'en 1965. La pharmacie se compose de deux pièces en rez-de-chaussée. Celle du 18e siècle a été installée dans l'ancienne maison d'Anne de Conti, alors que celle du 19e siècle est située dans une partie de l'immeuble ayant abrité, avant la Révolution, l'atelier monétaire de Montpellier. Les deux salles sont ornées de boiseries et de mobilier d'époque. La chapelle, toujours affectée au culte, a été construite entre 1825 et 1830, et abrite des décors de faux marbres sur bois et de maçonneries en trompe-l'oeil, ainsi qu'une galerie en tribunes.

History
The Œuvre de la Miséricorde was founded in the early 17th century, with the mission of relieving the poor: food, orphanage, apothecary, school. After the Revolution, having become a welfare bureau, the work was continued until 1965. The pharmacy consists of two rooms on the ground floor. The 18th-century one was installed in the former house of Anne de Conti, while the 19th-century one is located in part of the building that housed, before the Revolution, the mint workshop of Montpellier. The two rooms are decorated with period woodwork and furniture. The chapel, still in use for worship, was built between 1825 and 1830, and contains decoration of false marbles on wood and trompe-l'oeil masonry, as well as a gallery with galleries above.
