Remplaçant un hôtel du 16e siècle qui avait appartenu à la famille de Joubert, l'hôtel actuel fut édifié en 1759 par Coste, alors grand prévôt de la Maréchaussée. Au rez-de-chaussée de la grande façade, un portail monumental, accosté de deux pavillons, donne accès à une cour dallée de gros cailloux roulés. Les étages sont percés de fenêtres avec clefs sculptées et balcon en fer forgé. Le troisième étage forme attique au-dessus de la grande corniche.

History
Replacing a 16th-century hotel which had belonged to the family of Joubert, the present hotel was built in 1759 by Coste, then grand prévôt of the Maréchaussée. On the ground floor of the great façade, a monumental gateway, flanked by two pavilions, gives access to a courtyard paved with large rolled pebbles. The upper floors are pierced with windows with sculptured keys and wrought-iron balcony. The third floor forms an attic above the great cornice.
