Le monument, inauguré en 1926, est loeuvre du sculpteur Henri-Jean Moreau. Il est composé dun socle en pierre en forme de cénotaphe. Une frise de bas-reliefs en bronze, représentant un défilé de troupes, est gravée sur le haut du socle. Un groupe sculpté en bronze surmonte lensemble. Il représente une Victoire ailée couronnant un soldat blessé allongé à ses pieds. Celui-ci est soutenu par une femme symbolisant la France ou la République.

History
The monument, inaugurated in 1926, is the work of sculptor Henri-Jean Moreau. It is composed of a stone base in the form of a cenotaph. A frieze of bronze bas-reliefs, representing a parade of troops, is engraved on the upper part of the base. A group sculptured in bronze surmounts the whole.
