Historique
L'hôtel se distingue par la richesse de son décor intérieur. Il fut construit en 1821 par l'architecte Gabriel-Joseph Durand et revendu au 19ème siècle à plusieurs reprises. Il abrita un temps l'archevêque de Bordeaux chassé de sa résidence par les évènements de 1905. En 1923, le nouveau propriétaire procéda à son réaménagement. L'ensemble présente un aspect extérieur très austère et allie des décors néo-classiques interprétés au goût du jour à d'autres originaux de la fin des années 1920.

History
The hotel is distinguished by the richness of its interior decoration. It was constructed in 1821 by the architect Gabriel-Joseph Durand and resold in the 19th century several times. It housed for a time the archbishop of Bordeaux driven from his residence by the events of 1905. In 1923, the new owner undertook its rearrangement. The whole presents a very austere external appearance and combines neo-classical decorations interpreted to the taste of the day with others original from the late 1920s.
