La construction de la maison Geneste a été achevée en 1969 et réalisée par l'agence d'Yves Salier. Implantée au sommet d'un terrain en pente, face au bassin d'Arcachon, son architecture blanche de poutres, poteaux et terrasses s'ouvre largement à la vue et se caractérise par un entrecroisement de lignes verticales et horizontales. Cette villa est conçue sur un plan formant un grand rectangle. Une large terrasse ceinture sur trois côtés le niveau du séjour alors qu'au niveau inférieur, celui des chambres, elle est limitée au nord et au sud par des pans de murs obliques. Le niveau 1 est celui des quatre chambres et le niveau supérieur présente un grand volume dont seule la cuisine a été séparée.

History
The construction of the Geneste house was completed in 1969 and executed by the agency of Yves Salier. Implanted at the summit of sloping terrain, facing the Arcachon basin, its white architecture of beams, posts and terraces opens widely to the view and is characterized by an intertwining of vertical and horizontal lines. This villa is designed on a plan forming a large rectangle. A large terrace encircles on three sides the level of the living area while at the lower level, that of the bedrooms, it is limited to the north and south by slanting wall sections. Level 1 is that of the four bedrooms and the upper level presents a large volume of which only the kitchen has been separated.
