Historique
Edifice construit à la demande de Pierre-Denis, comte de Peyronnet, ministre de la Justice, à l'emplacement de l'ancien château familial. Les travaux, confiés à l'architecte Pierre Laclote, se déroulent de 1826 à 1828. En 1834, l'architecte Pierre-Alexandre Poitevin succède à Laclote, en particulier pour la construction de la chapelle. De composition néo-classique, le château est constitué d'un bâtiment rectangulaire encadré de pavillons d'angle. Des communs disposés en retour d'équerre délimitent une cour intérieure fermée par une grille. Au centre du commun nord, la chapelle néo-gothique présente un plan cruciforme. Elle est voûtée d'ogives et éclairée par un lanterneau octogonal. Les intérieurs du château et des communs ont été entièrement remaniés dans les années 1990.

History
Building erected at the request of Pierre-Denis, Count of Peyronnet, Minister of Justice, on the site of the old family castle. The works, entrusted to architect Pierre Laclote, took place from 1826 to 1828. In 1834, architect Pierre-Alexandre Poitevin succeeded Laclote, particularly for the construction of the chapel. Of neo-classical composition, the castle consists of a rectangular building framed by corner pavilions. Outbuildings arranged in an L-shape delimit an interior courtyard closed by ironwork. At the center of the north outbuilding, the neo-Gothic chapel presents a cruciform plan. It is vaulted with ribs and lit by an octagonal lantern. The interiors of the castle and outbuildings were completely remodelled in the 1990s.
