History

The main dwelling contains a room decorated with panoramic wallpaper depicting views of Spain, dated approximately 1810. It depicts the square of Burgos, the castle of Coca, near Segovia, the port of Algeciras and the ruins of Granada. The lower part of the wall surface comprises, in a rectangular vignette, a scene in the antique style.££This is a pigeon house from the late 19th century restored by the family owning the estate. It is built against the east gable wall of the shed constructed in stone. Built in brick and wood framing, it is designed according to a rectangular plan. Its upper part is devoted to pigeons and comprises two wooden flight grilles as well as a perch also in wood. The simplicity of the brick walls is enhanced by the presence of wooden laths arranged in a lattice pattern. The pigeon house integrates the two other functions of henhouse and pigsty. This very original building has no other example of this type in Gers.
