The villa of Chiragan, which was a monumental ensemble without equivalent among the great villae of south-west Gaul (as much by its dimensions as by its structure), yielded in the course of the 19th century an exceptional ensemble of sculptures and notably of portraits (collection of antiquities of the Saint-Raymond museum of Toulouse). Today, the vestiges of this prestigious site are buried under a thick layer of arable soil.
