Cette maison fait partie dun des quatre quartiers neufs conçus par larchitecte Georges Candilis afin de répondre à la nécessité de loger le personnel employé à la nouvelle usine de production nucléaire de Marcoule, en 1954. La villa a gardé son parement de pierre mais perdu ses menuiseries en bois. A lextérieur, un mur en béton protégeant lentrée est percé de deux fentes horizontales. Lintérieur na guère été modifié; les sols sont en place excepté lescalier descendant dont les marches en béton brut ont été recouvertes de grands carreaux. Le sol de la terrasse est, également, toujours présent, avec ses dalles posées en quinconce pour rappeler le dessin des murs en pierre.

History
This house is part of one of the four new districts designed by architect Georges Candilis in order to meet the need to house the staff employed at the new nuclear production plant at Marcoule in 1954. The villa retained its stone facing but lost its wooden joinery. On the outside, a concrete wall protecting the entrance is pierced by two horizontal slits. The interior has scarcely been modified; the flooring is in place except for the descending staircase whose raw concrete steps have been covered with large tiles. The floor of the terrace is also still present, with its slabs laid in quincunx pattern to recall the design of the stone walls.
