History
This dwelling is situated in one of the four new districts created by architect Georges Candilis to house the staff employed by the new nuclear production plant at Marcoule in 1954. The house was isolated on the outside but retained its wooden joinery. Candilis's frank and articulated writing is found in the positioning of the entrance, set back in relation to the garage door. Inside, all the flooring is in place, including the raw concrete steps descending to the garage.
