Charles Faret, seigneur de Saint-Privat et de Fournes, construisit ce château vers 1638, sur l'emplacement d'un château-fort (partie centrale). Une grande partie du second étage fut démolie à la fin du 19e siècle. L'édifice comporte un corps de logis Renaissance flanqué, à chacun de ses angles, d'une tourelle en poivrière, pentagonale. Sur la façade principale s'ouvre la porte d'entrée à encadrement de pierres taillées en pointes de diamant et surmontée d'un fronton à arc coupé en son centre. Fenêtres à meneaux. L'intérieur conserve une cheminée Renaissance et des plafonds à la française.

History
Charles Faret, lord of Saint-Privat and Fournes, built this castle around 1638, on the site of a fortified castle (central part). A large part of the second floor was demolished at the end of the 19th century. The building comprises a main dwelling of Renaissance style flanked, at each of its angles, by a small pepper-pot tower, pentagonal. On the main façade opens the entrance door with frame of stones cut into diamond points and surmounted by a pediment with arch cut in its centre. Mullioned windows. The interior preserves a Renaissance fireplace and ceilings in the French style.
