Construite au milieu du 16ème siècle, cette résidence originale bouscule les modèles médiévaux des « maisons-tours » fortifiées. La maçonnerie de granit révèle un appareil particulier composé à la fois de moellons irréguliers et de grandes pierres taillées. La façade principale est ornée d'un buste en marbre blanc et d'une plaque commémorative. Ce palazzu est un des édifices médiévaux les plus significatifs de Corse en raison de sa taille et de son architecture mais également par la personnalité de son commanditaire. La demeure possède une porte étroite pourvue d'un pont-levis à un seul bras, supportant une passerelle mobile. History
Built in the middle of the 16th century, this original residence disrupts the medieval models of fortified "tower-houses". The granite masonry reveals a particular appearance composed of both irregular rubble stone and large dressed stones. The main façade is adorned with a white marble bust and a commemorative plaque. This palazzu is one of the most significant medieval buildings in Corsica by reason of its size and its architecture but also by the personality of its patron. The dwelling possesses a narrow door provided with a single-arm drawbridge, supporting a moveable walkway. This device confers on the dwelling its unique character in relation to the other fortified houses of Corsica.
