History
The building is constituted by a single wall. The baptistry was built in opus incertum. In plan, its preserved structure draws an apse at the centre of which is found a baptismal font. Attributed to the early 6th century, it possesses a primitive font of cruciform plan which will undergo several modifications. The baptistry is partially destroyed and integrated into a new church in the late 6th or early 7th century. The primitive font is then abandoned for a basin of circular plan. This baptistry was dependent on the primitive cathedral whose location remains unknown.
