Historique

History
This calvary was erected on the occasion of a plague epidemic in 1626, following a vow by the population. In 1903 the restoration of the base was undertaken and probably also the construction of the enclosure. The calvary is distinguished by certain details of its structure and iconography. The hemispherical base is a unique example in Finistère, as is its decoration. While the death's head is sometimes found on calvaries, the theme of a skull surrounded by two figures (a man and a woman, turned towards the skull) is a unique instance. Several statues ornament the calvary (the Virgin; a knight in civilian dress of the 17th century; Saint-Yves; Saint-Jean...). The cross supports Christ.
