Historique
Situé dans le bois de la Muette, l'ancien sanatorium départemental des Bas-Buissons atteste de la politique prophylactique du maire de Dreux, de 1908 à 1959, Maurice Viollette Un premier édifice est dessiné en 1921 par l'architecte municipal Georges Beauniée, resté sans suite. L'équipement finalement réalisé est composé de trois sous-ensembles conçus par André Sarrut (1901-1973), architecte parisien qui obtient la commande à l'issue d'un concours remporté à la fin des années 1920. La réalisation sera menée avec l'aide de Beauniée. Le sanatorium, ou clinique Laennec, se découvre à la sortie du hameau du Buisson, rue de la Muette. Un édifice marque l'entrée d'une composition de trois pavillons parallèles bâtis en 1932, Pasteur, Calmette, Koch, agrandis en 1936 par l'aile Villemin et le pavillon Guersant.

History
Located in the wood of the Muette, the former departmental sanatorium of Bas-Buissons attests to the prophylactic policy of the mayor of Dreux, from 1908 to 1959, Maurice Viollette. A first building was designed in 1921 by the municipal architect Georges Beauniée, which came to nothing. The facility finally realized is composed of three sub-ensembles designed by André Sarrut (1901-1973), Parisian architect who obtained the commission following a competition won in the late 1920s. The realization was carried out with the help of Beauniée. The sanatorium, or Laennec clinic, is discovered at the exit of the hamlet of Buisson, rue de la Muette.
