Fondée au 13ème siècle, labbaye fut reconstruite au 16ème siècle puis à nouveau restaurée, après les guerres de Religions, avant lédification du logis abbatial, en 1740. Vendue comme bien national en 1793 et démantelée, il subsiste encore au moins deux vestiges de labbaye originelle de grande qualité : le portail double donnant accès à lancienne porterie et laile orientale du cloître qui abritait la salle capitulaire.

History
Founded in the 13th century, the abbey was rebuilt in the 16th century and again restored, after the Wars of Religion, before the construction of the abbatial main dwelling in 1740. Sold as national property in 1793 and dismantled, at least two vestiges of the original abbey of high quality still remain: the double portal giving access to the former gatehouse and the eastern wing of the cloister which housed the chapter house.
