Ce manoir fortifié a été construit à l'époque de la guerre de Cent Ans, sans doute en liaison avec l'abbaye toute proche de la Croix-Saint-Leufroy, sur un plan quadrangulaire avec tours rondes aux angles, ceint d'un fossé inondable. Ce schéma est caractéristique des fermes fortifiées des 14e et 15e siècles. Les bâtiments, arasés au siècle dernier, s'organisent autour de la cour fermée ; certains ont été modifiés au 18e siècle, mais des éléments de corps de logis médiévaux subsistent en partie.

History
This fortified manor was built at the time of the Hundred Years' War, no doubt in connection with the nearby abbey of Croix-Saint-Leufroy, on a quadrangular plan with round towers at the angles, surrounded by a flooded moat. This scheme is characteristic of fortified farms of the 14th and 15th centuries. The buildings, levelled in the last century, are organised around the enclosed courtyard; some were modified in the 18th century, but elements of medieval main dwellings remain in part.
