Historique

History
In 1842, a new building comes to replace an older construction, on the plans of architect Alphonse Delacroix. The works were carried out from 1844 to 1854. The building reinterprets formulas very much used in the 18th century in Franche-Comté, such as the hall church preceded by a porch tower standing apart, but with the use of neogothic vocabulary. Composed of three naves of five bays, plus that of the choir, and an apse with seven sides between two sacristies, the building is covered with rib vaults with continuous ribbing, from the base of the pillars to the pendant keys. The bell tower is adorned with sculpted decoration including gables, canopied niches, trefoil openings and clock screens. Furnishings were specially designed for the church.
