C'est actuellement l'unique et vaste ensemble conservé d'une luxueuse demeure d'époque romaine à Besançon. L'intérêt est accru par la présentation in situ des éléments décoratifs.

History
In the heart of the residential quarter of ancient Besançon, house of some ten rooms ornamented with mosaics (Flavian and Antonine), decorated on the walls with facings of polychrome, sculptured marble, paintings succeeding a dwelling from the beginning of the Romanization. It is currently the unique and vast ensemble preserved of a luxurious dwelling of Roman period at Besançon. The interest is enhanced by the presentation in situ of the decorative elements.
