La partie basse du pigeonnier-porche est constituée en pierre tandis que la partie haute est en colombage. A l'origine, il fut édifié pour servir d'entrée monumentale à la demeure. La peinture actuellement visible sur la partie en pierre n'existait pas à l'époque de sa construction et les inscriptions ont fait l'objet d'une restauration. La toiture en tuiles plates est agrémentée en son sommet de deux épis de faîtage en granit figurant une tête. La porte cloutée est entourée de piliers d'inspiration ionique et d'un entablement à cimaise et larmier chanfreinés. Des paniers en osier destinés aux pigeons ont été préservés dans la partie supérieure. Ce pigeonnier-porche s'intègre dans la tendance visant à magnifier les demeures en Limousin au 18ème siècle.

History
The lower part of the pigeon-tower porch is built in stone while the upper part is in timber framing. Originally, it was erected to serve as a monumental entrance to the dwelling. The painting currently visible on the stone part did not exist at the time of its construction and the inscriptions were restored. The roof of flat tiles is adorned at its summit with two granite roof finials depicting a head. The studded door is surrounded by pillars of Ionic inspiration and an entablature with moulded cyma and drip edge. Wicker baskets intended for pigeons have been preserved in the upper part. This pigeon-tower porch fits into the trend aimed at enhancing dwellings in Limousin in the 18th century.
