Château du 15e siècle, modifié au 19e siècle (percements et parties supérieures). Les premiers seigneurs en furent les chevaliers de Tulle. Les Foucher, autre maison de chevalerie, s'établirent au 13e siècle à Sainte-Fortunade et partagèrent la seigneurie avec les Tulle. Le château a de puissants volumes ponctués par les tours et les tourelles en échauguette. Il est composé d'un corps de logis rectangulaire et d'une aile en retour. La façade est-nord-est du corps de logis présente mâchicoulis couverts et deux tourelles en échauguette. Celle ouest-sud-ouest possède également des mâchicoulis. La tour carrée située dans l'angle des deux bâtiments s'amortit par des mâchicoulis.

History
Château of the 15th century, modified in the 19th century (openings and upper parts). The first lords were the knights of Tulle. The Fouchers, another house of chivalry, established themselves in the 13th century at Sainte-Fortunade and shared the seigniory with the Tulles. The château has powerful volumes punctuated by towers and turrets with watch corbels. It is composed of a rectangular body of main dwelling and a wing in return. The east-north-east façade of the main dwelling body presents covered machicolations and two turrets with watch corbels. That to the west-south-west also possesses machicolations. The square tower situated at the angle of the two buildings is finished with machicolations.
