L'intérêt de cette maison construite au 19e siècle, dans le faubourg Saint-Jean, réside dans la lucarne qui aère et éclaire le comble, au niveau de la travée axiale. Cette lucarne à la capucine, oeuvre d'un compagnon-charpentier du Devoir, porte les lettres symboliques U.V.G.T. (Union-Vertu-Géomètrie-Travail) et des emblèmes majeurs du compagnonnage : le compas associé à l'équerre et l'étoile à cinq branches. Bien que mal restaurée (bardeaux d'asphalte) , cette élégante réalisation est le seul élément décoratif de la maison. Elle est un témoin modeste mais de plus en plus rare du savoir-faire des Compagnons du Tour de France.

The interest of this house constructed in the 19th century, in the Saint-Jean suburb, lies in the dormer which ventilates and lights the roof space, at the level of the axial bay. This capuchin-style dormer, work of a craftsman-carpenter of the Devoir, bears the symbolic letters U.V.G.T. (Union-Virtue-Geometry-Work) and the major emblems of the craft fellowship: the compass associated with the square and the five-pointed star.
